This App goes with the exhibition ROOD , RED in English, on display at the Amsterdam Tropenmuseum in 2010/2011.
The App offer commentaries about 46 objects from the exhibition.
Amongst other objects, you will encounter an initiation mask from Zambia, an embroide red cloth from Friesland, ancestor sculptures from New Guinea, a red coat from the Battle of Waterloo, but also burial shrouds from Iraq, a hat with pompoms from Germany, a knitted sports car and a painting made with nail polish.
All these objects have a red element. But: why red? What is the significance of red to the object, and, to you?
This App offers audio commentary and zoom-able images with every object.
